FTP access to your site files

Postby jwitkowski » Fri May 22, 2009 10:48 am

* SFTP (Secure FTP) access to your site is available. However, you must be on the MLML Network - in other words, you must be ON-SITE or have a vpn connection.

First, you will need an FTP Client with Sftp capabilities: (listed below are some free ones)

Host Addresses and Directory Path
If your site is a cms site (eg: drupal, wordpress)
host address is either: www1.mlml.calstate.edu or www2.mlml.calstate.edu
      path is: /Volumes/www1/your_site_dir or /Volumes/www2/your_site_dir
If your site was hand-made with html files (or has been around for many moons...)
      host address is: wwwold.mlml.calstate.edu
      path is: /data/vh/your_site_dir
If you don't know or cannot access it, please submit an iTicket

Username/Password
Use your MLML username/password (the same one you use for cisco clean access)

Troubleshooting
Are you trying to connect from off-site?
You first need to connect to MLML via vpn or wait until you are back on-site to sftp
    Can't connect?
Make sure your sftp client is using Port 22 (or check the box for Sftp/SSH)
    Can't authenticate?
Try using your 'other' username and password

Submit an iTicket
Still can't connect? Sometimes we just need another set of eyes to have a look.
Please submit an iTicket and we'll see what we can do for you.
