The instructions are for installing the Instructional/Classroom licensed version of MatLab.
This information applies to the following versions:
- R2008a
- R2008b
- Request permission to obtain a MatLab license from Erika McPhee-Shaw or Joan Parker.
- Submit an iTicket to request a license for your computer. Include the following information in the iTicket:
- First and Last Name
- Email address
- Operating System
Once the MLML MatLab license administrator has processed your request, you will receive an email from MathWorks and the iTech HelpDesk to confirm your MathWorks user account and your MatLab license assignment. - The next step is to obtain the installation disk image or DVD. The installation files can be downloaded from fileservermac, or the install DVD can be checked out from the Library.
- Uninstall all previous versions of MatLab and reboot your computer.
- Insert MatLab DVD or open (mount) the MatLab disk image.
- Run the MatLab installer. Select the following options during the installation:
- Install automatically using the internet.
- Wait for installer to contact Mathworks website
- Agree to license terms
- Enter MathWorks username and password when prompted
- Select a license (if no license is associated with your MathWorks account, contact MLML iTech)
- Allow installer to complete installation
- Start MatLab.
